Silent world,

World of dreams

And dreamers dreaming springtime dreams.

Sudden deer

Caught in light

Bounds to safety in snow-clad night.

Crackling snow

Upon the bough

Winter's silence broken now.

Barren limb

Still host to those

Bright singers of the frozen morn.
